True Grit Wrestling’s resident puppet master James Carr has done it again – only this time, he didn’t stay in his own yard.
Earlier this week, The Regime invaded Tidal Wrestling, crashing a hotly-anticipated main event between former TGW Champion Wesley Nsereko and indie favourite Ace Matthews. Leeds fans watched in shock as JC and his loyal footmen – led by the ever-vocal Joey Slade – stormed the ring, ambushing both competitors mid-match.
The attack was brutal. The message? Even clearer.
JC, donning his signature smug grin, took the mic and spat venom:
“Yorkshire wrestling is being taken over by True Grit and The Regime, and Nsereko – you are not a part of that, whoever you wrestle for.”
It’s the latest chapter in JC’s twisted descent. Fans will remember when he first turned on Nsereko earlier this year, fixing the match against Brady Phillips while wearing a referee shirt – a betrayal that left fans stunned. At the time, JC claimed it was “best for business.” Now we know the truth: it’s always been personal. Ever since Nsereko’s appearance on BBC’s Gladiators, Carr’s resentment has been growing.
