True Grit Wrestling rolled into Leeds for our annual Pride show, and what a night it turned out to be. Showtime Slam wasn’t just a celebration – it was a record-breaker. We packed out Leftbank with our biggest live audience to date and broke streaming records on Triller TV too. The vibes? Immaculate. The wrestling? Even better.
If you missed it (or just want to relive it), the full show is now available to stream:
A Night That Meant More
Showtime Slam is always one of our most important events, but this year’s show really hit different. From the moment doors opened, it felt like a party, but one with purpose. Pride flags draped the venue, the roster was full of queer excellence and the crowd came ready to celebrate every dropkick, dive and deeply petty argument.
TGW has always stood for inclusivity, but this event was a full-on love letter to the LGBTQIA+ community – not just token gestures or rainbow tights, but real representation where it matters most.
Bandit vs Sterling: A Pride Match with History
One of the night’s most talked-about moments came when Kidd Bandit faced Commander Stephanie Sterling in a no disqualification rematch that had fans on their feet and the comment section on fire.

Their first match two years ago made history as the first transfem vs transfem singles match in professional wrestling. This time around, the tension was bigger, the weapons weirder and the stakes higher. Bandit walked away with the win, but the true victory was in the visibility and story they brought to that ring. If you want to talk about what wrestling can be, that was it.
Ladders, Ivy and Glittering Gold
The main event saw Adam Bolt defend the TGW Pride Championship against Tony Wright in a ladder match that had everything – chair shots, aerial carnage and even some handcuff shenanigans courtesy of Ivy. Jackie T tried to get involved, of course, but was eventually ejected by the ref.
Tony and Adam went all out. These two know each other inside out and it showed in the flow of the match – brutal, clever and paced to perfection. Bolt retained the belt, but Wright earned every chant he got.
Priscilla’s Farewell and Che Monet’s Curveball
Priscilla’s emotional final match was a highlight all on its own. She went out swinging, leaving it all in the ring. Leeds gave her a standing ovation and more than a few tears were shed backstage too.
Meanwhile, Che Monet pulled a surprise face turn, ditching Jackie T post-match and siding with underdog local lad Sammy Blue. Crowd went mad for it. Monet has long teased walking that line, and Friday proved which side of the ropes she stands on now.
Why It Worked
From the opening bell to the final mic drop, Showtime Slam was tight, thrilling and packed with personality. Sure, the wrestling was top tier – but it was the passion behind the matches that elevated the night.
Whether it was the explosive tag action, the bonkers fatal four-way or the hard-hitting women’s championship bout between Rhio and Skye Smitson, every match told a story that mattered.
And let’s be real – nobody else is doing it quite like us. We’re not about blood, glass and barbed wire. We’re about grit, heart and chaos that actually means something. Characters you care about. Moments that make you cheer, cry or scream “kick his head in” at full volume.
Until Next Time
Big shout out to our production team, social crew, commentators, referees, medics and merch sellers. You kept the wheels turning and the glitter flying.
To the fans – thank you. You packed out Leftbank, you showed up online, and you made this night one to remember.
If this was your first TGW show, welcome to the madness. If you’ve been here since day one, you already know – we’re only just getting started.
See you at the next one.
